Mrs. Fred Kirby and her daughter Miss Annette Kirby went to Pueblo, Colo, to attend the blessing and naming of Mr. and Mrs. Kirbys new granddaughter who was blessed and named Michelle Leigh on Feb. 5. She is the first child for Mr. and Mrs. Gene Polhamus and the first grandchild for the Kirbys. Mr. and Mrs. Waynard Bennett returned from a 10 day trip to Seattle, Wash. They were to visit with their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Vem Flint and to be on hand for the return of their granddaughter Terri Ann Flint who returned from an LDS mission to France and for the departure of their grandson, Elder John Flint who has been called to serve a their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Don Adams. MR. COOK, 47, died on Thursday, Feb. 16, 1378 in the Payson Hospital. HE WAS bom July 7, 1943 to Carlos R. Clark and Marinda Call Clark in Ogden. He grew up in Farmington and graduated from Davis High School in 1961. He attended Weber State College on an electronic scholarship. IN DEC. of 1961 he joined the Navy. He was married to Katherine Lake on Jan. 10, 1964 in the Idaho Falls Temple. MR. CLARK was employed Hill Air Force Base and lived in Clearfield. He was an Elder in the Clearfield 10th Ward in The Church of Jesus Saints. Christ of Latter-da- y at His funeral will be Friday, Feb. 24 in the Clearfield 10th Ward with Biihop Keith Warner conducting. HE WAS preceded in death by his mother Marinda Call Clark and brother Kevin Jay Clark. He is survived by his widow, sons and daughter, Michaels., Schyler C., Heidi, father, Carlos Clark and received his early education in the schools of Davis County and graduated from Davis High School. He filled an LDS mission to the Eastern States. He attended Weber State, the University of Utah and graduated with a B.A. and M.A. from Brigham Services Dennis Call Clark, age Temple. Elder Brent Beecher will leave Feb. 28 for Belgium to serve a two year LDS mission. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Brent Beecher. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Miller 378-875- 1 MR. COOK was an associate professor of Religion at BYU at the time of his death. He was a musician, and played the trumpet, piano and also composed music. Mr. and Mrs. Sid Bass, Mrs. JoAnn Bass, Mrs. Bonnie Kemet and Mrs. Sandra Bone attended the funeral service of Mrs. Shirley Harner at Granger on Monday. Mrs. Harner was the niece of Mr. and Mrs. Bass. Mrs. Alden S. Adams is confined to the Davis North Medical Center in Layton where she has been ill and has undergone major surgery. Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Benton attended the Utah Dental Association Banquet at the Hotel Utah in Salt Lake City, Friday evening where they honored their son, Dr. Daniel Benton mission to Korea. Winters. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Barnes and family, Mr. and Mrs. John Barnes and family of Burley, Ida. spent the weekend with their mother, Mrs. Helen Barnes.
