Mrs. Essie Thornley of Kaysville enjoyed having all of her children together for Thanksgiving dinner. They held the dinner in Salt Lake City at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Drakos with 75 descendants together for the first time in many years. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Thornley, Austin, Tex.; Mr. and Mrs. Steven Willey, Fairfield, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard W. Hill Jr., Kaysville; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Burbank, Granger; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Stromberg, Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Chris Drakos, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Jay Thornley, East Layton; Mr. and Mrs. Dee Wangely, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Morrison, Miss Irene Stod- - Clearfield Studies Mew Fire Financing At the last meeting of the Clearfield City Council, an innovative method of financing a new fire station was presented. NEIL Blackburn, vice president of Kaiserman Associates presented a method whereby Clearfield could have a new fire station, adequate to meet the needs of future development and the e fire possibility of a department. Mr. Blackburn proposed that Kaiserman build the fire station for the citys use, lease it to the city for a period of 20 years and at the end of that time with a small balloon payment, the station could be city property. full-tim- CLEARFIELD would be a leader in the nation in developing this method of financing. It is new and innovative, said Mr. Blackburn. Gene Mr. and Mrs. Raymond and family were holiday weekend guests in Ferren of her sister and Lt. Col. (Ret) and Mrs. Morey B. Jeffery returned from a 53 day trip where they visited 24 states and also Mexico. They visited places of interest all the way and traveled to the east coast and on down to Florida and returned by way of the southern States to Las Vegas and home. At Vermilion, Ohio they visited with Mrs. Jefferys father, Edward Dork and his two brothers, Keith Jeffery and Sidney Bryce Jeffery and families and with his sister, Barbara Winterstein. In Michigan they visited their one son, Mr. and Mrs. Tim Jeffery and family at Lennon, Mich, and with the other son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Jeffery at Sterling, Va. Mrs. Carmen Fisher enter tained at a bridal linen shower at her home Tuesday evening in honor of Miss Janet Ward who will be married Dec. 9. Kathy Edwards was to the 18 guests. Miss Ward is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Ward. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bacon have returned to their home in Fresno, Calif, after being in Kaysville for the funeral service of her mother, Mrs. Alice Gwen. They were houseguests of her brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Green and Mr. and Mrs. Walwyn Green during their stay. Lt. Col. (Ret) and Mrs. Jay Fisher entertained at a holiday dinner at their home for members of their family on Thanksgiving day. They were his parents, Mr. and of Mrs. Cecil Fisher, Meadow, her father, Samuel Carpenter, Cedar City; their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Fisher of Ketchum, Ida. and their daughter, Miss Debbie Fisher of BYU. Mr. and Mrs. William M. Packer, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Bitner, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Packer, Mr. and Mrs. Kent Cammack and families of Kaysville; Mr. and Mrs. Los Alamos, New Mexico were dinner guests on Thanksgiving day of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Packer and family at Moab. There were 24 guests in all at the family gathering. Mrs. Myrna Cunrine and four daughters of Berthoud, Colo, accompanied her son, Elder Michael Cunrine to Salt Lake City where he will erner the Mission Home. While m Utah they were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Harvey and family. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Tice entertained at a holiday dinner for the following guests: her mother, Mrs. Nettie Sessions of Roy; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Tice of Hemet, Calif, and their son Craig Tice of San Jose, Calif, who was in Utah on a combined business and pleasure trip. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Storey entertained guests on Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Weller Bishop and daughter and her friend from Seattle, Wash. That evening Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hyde and Mr. and Mrs. Don Jacobson of Kaysville joined them for a short visit. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Cloward and children were holiday dinner guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mr. and Mrs. H. Glenn Austin at entertained Thanksgiving day dinner for Dr. and Mrs. Sam Hovey and children, Kaysville; Dr. and Mrs. Bruce Howard and children of Layton. Mrs. Myrtle Cottrell has received word that her son Mr. and and daughter-in-law- , Mrs. Elmer Cottrell have been released from serving LDS mission in an Dixie and will report at Phoenix, Ariz., their former home, before coming on to Utah to visit with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. John P. Barton and family of Kaysville and her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Carlson of Provo were guests in Pleasant Grove for the holiday of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. and family. Mrs. Myrtle Cottrell, Mr. and Mrs. Binden Cottrell attended the funeral service of Mrs. Grace Cottrell on Thursday in South Jordan. Mrs. Grace Cottrell is a of Mrs. Myrtle Cottrell and Carl Cottrell.
