PTA OFFICERS for 1977-7- 8 were installed by Newell a district PTA of-- 1 Mr. Anderson challenged the officers and the parents in attendance to support the objectives of the Anderson, fleer. PTA. The 1977-7-8 PTA officers are Kay Winegar, president; Karlene Bennett, first vice president; James (Jim) Abate, second vice president; Marjene Isom, secretary; Dianne Stapley, treasurer; and Judy Stevens, historian. DURING the year, the PTA sponsored an individual pic ture taking day and a sale. The profits from these! activities will go towards a gift for the school. Mrs. Kay Winegar, the PTA1 president, invited all parents to become active in PTA work. She said that there is an opportunity for everyone to work in the PTA and that it is a very rewarding experience. at Layton High, was present- ed with a $200 scholarship. This year, all junior high, BILL WARREN. Central's principal, Jim Abate, the assistant principal and Laura Burton the school secretary,' were presented with gifts of appreciation for the support they gave to the PTA. Corsages were also given to those ladles who had served j as PTA chairmen during the; year.
