N FARMINGTON Traffic accidents this week injured eight DaVis county residents, four of them children between ten and four years of age. t The four children of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Allred of Layton, Marilyn, 10; John S., eight, Gloria, six and Michael, four, were injured Friday afternoon when the automobile in which they were passengers was struck by a northbound truck at 0:45 p. m. on U. S. highway 89 south of Weber canyon. Mr. and Mrs. Allred were uninjured. Youth Arrested For Thefts Minor thefts CLEARFIELD from eight Clearfield homes during the' past year were solved this week with the arrest of a Clearfield youth as he entered a Clearfield residence. According to City Marshals A. G. Padgett and LaMar Chard, the youth was taken into custody last week when he and a younger brother were discovered in the D. M. Nelson home by Mrs. Nelson. When the woman attempted to call the officers the youth grabbed the telephone. The younger of the two boys fled during the scuffle before the two marshals arrived. The youth is now awaiting hearing before Judge Theodore G. Bohn. According to officials the youth has been charged with the theft of money, most of which was of small sums, from the homes of Wilmer Barlow, Jesse D. Barlow, Jenson and Thomas homes in Smith village, Lawrence Sessions home, Basil Layton home, Calvin Bridges home and the William Cummings home. In at least two other instances of housebreaking by the youth, nothing was reported missing. For the younger of the two boys, entering the Nelson home was the first offense. Twelve guests were invited to celebrate the event with Miss Smith. Mrs. Maurice Udy assisted Mrs. Udy as hostess. The guests were served from tables on the lawn. Suzanne and her sister Betty Lu have been here with their grandparents this summer. They returned with Mrs. Udy to Los Angeles.
