The vote on Monday should be for organization for the sole purpose as set forth above the organization of a district for the purpose of being in position to make water filings. This election is not for the purpose of buying anyones water filings, for the construction of a high-lin- e canal, for pumping plants or the extension of the Davis and Weber Counties canal. It is for the sole purpose of securing more water for Davis county. Just remember that last sentence when voting. As a matter of fact, it is safe to prophecy thatf the proposition to build the high line canal would not receive twenty votes in Davis county if presented to the landowners for consideration. On the other hand, if the proposition to secure more water and extend the Davis and Weber Counties canal were presented, it would go over by anenormous majority, because that is just what the people want, and know to be the logical solution of the situation in Davis county, and to do this, many people think it is to have the district organized. In this connection, The Reflex is in a position to state that such a proposition would be agreeable to the officials of the Davis and Weber Counties Canal company. However, it is hardly reasonable to suppose that this company would favor the adoption of a plan Avhereby lands within their up ka s i n M i H RR1S TO BE. PILOT ON SCREEN RUNS TRUK TO BOOK Probably because of the fact that he thoroughly knows the subject whereof he writes, Ralph Connor story, "The Sky Pilot, which King Vidor has directed as a motion picture, is one of the, real gems among current motion picture releases. Ralph Connor, whose real name is Rev. Charles W, Gordon, and whose steady occupation is not writing books at all, but preaching the gospel in hi.s little Canadian church, is to be congratulated upon the sincere manner in which the Cartherine Curtis Production have translated his story to the screen. Few authors can claim as interesting a film version of their work as can the Rev. GordonThe story deals'with a young minister who is sent into the Canadian ranch belt to spread the gospel among His trials and tributhe cowboys. lations, his fights, his faith, his hope are masterfully interpreted by King Vidor through John Bowers, who plays the title role. How the pilot, unpopular at first, wins a place for himself in the hearts of the cowboys, who surprise him on Christmas morning by d down a leading him trail to show him the little frame church they have built without his knowledge, forms the human note of the story which is featured byjsev-era- l smashing dramatic scenes.
