LAYTON The body of Private William Clyde Layton, who was killed in a railroad wreck at Bonniers, France, July 23, 1918, was laid away in the family plot in the kaysville cemetery Sunday afternoon, with full military honors. The funeral services were held at the West Layton ward meeting house at 2 oclock and were largely attended. The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful. Bishop Richard Scof-fielpresided and the speakers were Will Kirkham President both of Salt Lake; llenry II. Blood of the North Davis stake,, Leo Ware, James Morgan and Bishop all of Layton. Musical selections were furnished by the West Layton choir, and there were also a vocal solo by Robert a vocal solo by Seymore Burton and a vocal duet by Misses Norma Layton and Nora Phillips. At the graveside a salute was fired and taps were sounded.
