A. staged a very interesting and unique lawn fete on the greensward north and east of the Bamberger depot at Layton last urday afternoon and evening. . J Sat- The Clearfield band was in attendance and rendered some dozen selections which were immensely appreciated. A splendid stirring address was delivered by Oscar Kirkham, general scoutmaster of Salt Lake City. He spoke interestingly of boy scout work throughout the land and of his recent trip to Europe. Paper rosettes were pinned on every one present. The colors were pink, red and orange. The different colors grouped together and played many merry games to the delight of all present Ice cream cones were served. The affair was a huge success in every way and the M. I. A. officers are to be congratulated on their enterprise on putting over so cleverly this unique entertainment. MEMBER.OF DAVIS COUNTY FURNITURE CO, SELLS HIS INTEREST . Mr. George E. Briggs of Layton, who has been in charge of the Davis County Furniture companys store at that place for the past five years, has sold his interest in the business to David L, Holbrook of Bountiful. Mr. Briggs will continue to assist in the work in connection with the store for an indefinite period, but most of his time will be spent across the street as he haa become interested with Mr. Laudie in the automobile business. Mr. Holbrook and family will locate at Layton as soon as such change can be made conveniently.
