Show VOLUME XIV KAYSVILLE, LAWTON AND FARMINGTON, UTAH, THURSDAY, J FLY 31. 1910 NOXIOUS WEED CAMPAIGN ' The county commissioners of Davis county havet taken up the matter of "Destruction of Noxious Weeds along r'the highways of Davis county and instructed the road supervisors to cut and destroy all such noxious weeds. ' The commissioners earnestly request that property owners all over the county join in this campaign and eradicate all such weeds on their premises. Davis county, like most other fertile old settled counties is cursed with noxious weeds along fences sidewalks, ditches and especially on vacant town lots. Some of the best specimens of burdock and other noxious weeds to be found are on exhibition along the state highway through Kaysville. Now that Davis county is cemented to the two largest cities of the state with a slab of concrete the road should be cleaned ligence, the road should be cleaned up fronS one end of the county to the other. Strangers (and these strangers include representatives of wealth and intelligence of the nation) are motor ing daily over this highway and the appearance and condition of property along the road has much to do with the impressions these people form and carry away with them. For this reason if no other our strtets should be cleaned up. As a matter of fact, property owners can be compelled to clean up these noxious weeds should the county commissioners so elect, but the commissioners believe7 the people will comply with the law now that it is called to their attention without legal prosecution. Following is the law7 which the ple will do well to read: j , WHAT THE BAMBERGER ELECTRIC I CITY REQUIRES j MANTAIN DEPOT right-of-wa- y I j j s e right-of-wa- y j , rights-of-wa- y I j j - t- y, ) peo- Section 1.
