The football team played against Boise Junior College that night. WSU lost with a final score of 0-52, according to Brad Larsen, assistant athletic director for media relations. The Homecoming Dance was held Saturday evening in the college ballroom, according to The Signpost. The musical group "Y's Men" performed at the dance. The 1956 Homecoming activities included an Alumni Assembly held the morning of Friday, Oct. 5, according to the Oct. 5, 1956 edition of The Signpost. Upon the conclusion of the assembly, the Homecoming Parade was held. The parade went down Washington Boulevard and up 36th Street, according to The Signpost. E Wilson said tlie WSU Student Association planned activities using the theme "Unforgettable." The association wanted to plan activities that hadn't been done in the past. Irma Hernandez, WSU English education junior, said she is excited about going to the Homecoming Dance. (U QJ Jar o c dance will be the most representative event in the Homecoming activities. Hernandez has been to the Homecoming Dance a couple of times in the past. She usually goes out for dinner and goes to the dance with her friends. Hernandez said Homecoming is a lot about school pride and also a way to make new friends. Hernandez said she still remembers the clock did not strike when she went to the Bell Tower.
