Show Monday, September 10, 2007 HE SIGNPOST MarsHill continued from page 1 continued from page 1 The MarsHill Project is aimed to be for everyone. "So many times, in religion and churches, it's about being fake," Roberts said. "We want to be real here, and develop relationships." Both the MarsHill Project and Salt Rock Coffee strive to personalize each customers experience. "We want to get to know people." Roberts said. "We don't want you to be customer number three. We want to know you by name, and know when things are going great, and when things are going bad." Roberts wants to get people involved by giving them a place where they can help in the church, even if the tasks are not typically found in other churches. "This is a place where you can serve God by making a latte. You can serve God by sitting on the couches talking," he said. "It is not a mistake what we are passionate about. That is how God wants to use you." Many Weber State Universtiy students are among the diverse crowd of adults, teens, and children who attend the Friday evening service. Nicole Crossley, a Weber State dental hygiene sophomore, has been attending the MarsHill Project since it began in February. "I like the relaxed atmosphere," she said. "People can totally be themselves and not feel like they have to put a mask on. You're accepted exactly the way you are, and people go out of their way to make you feel welcome." Feeling welcome is one of Robert's goals for the MarsHill Project. "If you are a homeless drug addict on the street there is a place for you," he said, "If you are a rich millionaire living on the bench, there's a place for you. We have people from all spectrums here." There are some negative factors in participating in fantasy football. With many participants joining multiple leagues, it becomes very timeconsuming to manage all the teams successfully. While players like Cole only spend about thirty minutes to an hour tweaking their leagues, some like Gerrish find it taking up a lot of their time. "Unfortunately, I spend like three to four hours online." He said, "Yes, it definitely affects my studies; that is a big 'yes.'"
