In the worst flooding to hit the country in over 60 years, rivers continue to rise. Due to torrential rains, flooding has caused many people to evacuate their homes and take shelter elsewhere. The last time there has been flooding to this extent was in 1947. No deaths or injuries have been reported in this flood. Wind in Utah threatens firefighters' success in fighting fire Shoplifting seagull gains national recognition IACKSON, Miss -A five-month-old girl who was allegedly taken at gunpoint by her biological mother was found safe three states away. The baby was apparently kidnapped by not only her biological mother, but the sister of her mother as well. Authorities have the duo in custody and the sisters are currently in jail. Booker West was playing in the bird bath in his grandparents backyard when the rattlesnake slithered up to the toddler and struck. The dog got between the snake and the toddler and took the bites. For a while it didn't seem like the dog would survive, but now he is doing well. Firefighters faced huge wind gusts in trying to tame the fire that started Thursday and remained only 15 percent contained on Monday. This fire only adds to the dozens of other fires that are currently burning across the west, including a large one in Idaho as well as some in Nevada and Oregon. All four people are expected to survive. Castleberry's Food Co. believes they have the problem isolated. The Agriculture Department's Food Safety and Inspection Service said the rood contamination problem may have been caused by an equipment malfunction. Over 90 types of canned chili, beef stew, corned beef hash and other meat products have been recalled since Thursday. The growing cost of milk and other commodities needs to be offset, and this was the solution Starbucks felt would work the best. This is the second price increase Starbucks has instituted in the past year. The prices of bottled drinks, whole bean coffee and food are unaffected. The prices are set to increase next week. Family forced to search feces of * cash-eating dog MENOMONIE, Wis. - Debbie Hulleman knows that her dog Pepper likes to eat things. But her dog's odd habit has never got her into much of a mess until just recently. Pepper devoured $750 in cash while being babysat by Hulleman's mother. The cash was in a purse that belonged to her mother's friend. Once they realized how much the dog had eaten, they were forced to wade through dog vomit and feces to track down the missing cash. All of the cash was found except for a $100 dollar bill that was missing more than the three-fourths. Mysterious blonde arrives at gas station nude Berlin - A German blonde paid a visit to a local gas station dressed in nothing but a gold bracelet and a pair of stilettos. She appeared at the gas station in a Ferrari, where a customer managed to take a few pictures of her as she was leaving. The pictures appeared all over the German media on Monday. She came to buy cigarettes and could have faced charges for creating a public disturbance. Fighting in Somalia leads to mass fleeing MOGADISHU, Somalia- 10,000 Somalis fled the capital last week. Theirflightwas the result of continued fighting. Mogadishu has been a stage of endless attacks, bombings and assassination attempt since government troops forced an Islamic movement from the city in December. An earlier exodus in March and April saw about 400 thousand flee the city. Many of the refugees are civilians who lived near the building hosting a national reconciliation conference, a conference aimed at helping the country find reparation after 16 years of conflicts.
