Show Campus Erie Women's suffrage video to be shown The Women's Studies and Services for Women are proud to present the video "One Woman, One Vote." as part of their video series presentations. Interested students are invited to attend Wednesday. This week's feature is part one of the documented 70-year struggle for women's suffrage. The film will also talk about the culmination of this struggle by the passage of the 19th Amendment. Experiencing God weekend Utah-Idaho Baptist Campus Ministries presents an "Experiencing God" weekend Nov. 1-3 at Mountain View Baptist Church, 2585 East 3000 North in Layton. All students are invited to attend the weekend beginning Friday at 8 p.m. Cost is $10. Students should bring a sleeping bag and pad, pillow, towel, Bible, writing pad and personals. The health department offersclasses free of charge to help individuals kick the habit. - "We have a class starting Nov. 7 that runs every Thursday evening for six weeks," Fitzpatrick said. Among the topics covered are methods used for quitting, motivation, goal setting, "recovery" symptoms to expect, health benefits and information on nutrition and exercise. "Some people opt to use the nicotine patch, which is more successful when combined with a six-week class," Fitzpatrick said. "Our students form a support group for each other through the six weeks, where they can share their feelings." This Thursday has been designated as ' 'Utah ' s No Tobacco Day' ' in conj unction with Red Ribbon Week. Another important date coming up is Nov. 21, "The Great American Smoke Out." "We encourage smokers to give it up for a 24-hour period on Nov. 2 1 , and for some, it's enough to kick the habit for life," Fitzpatrick said. He said the change depends totally on funds.when there is extra money and the social science building is in greatest need, it will get done.
