News Editor A variation of athletic, church and community organizations are occupying vacant space in student housing summer quarter. Promontory Tower, Wasatach Hall and a portion of La Sal Hall are filled with 143 participants in programs on Weber's campus. There are 107 registered students living on campus in Stansbury Hall and La Sal Hall. The groups which are staying periodically throughout this summer include: Jolstens Yearbook The Weber State College School of Business and Economics has received a collection of business films valued at $12,000. First Nationwide Savings, the sixth largest savings and loan institution in the country with assets of 9.5 billion, gave the college the complete library of business training films published by the American Management Association.Dr. Mark Nelson, a professor of finance at Weber State who is currently on sabbatical with First Nationwide Savings as a management development consultant, said that the 24 films Conference, Canyon Rim Stake Youth Conference, Miss Teen Utah and football, basketball, and volleyball camps. Permanent summer residents include: Upward Bound, a program which is funded for economically disadvantaged high school students; and Utah Musical Theatre, preformers in the musicals at the Browning Center. Each group brings their own counselors and resident assistants are available for futher assistance. Adult supervisors are required on each floor and most groups are charged a daily rate. cover "all ranges of management topics. Simkins, Dean of the WSC Business School, said that the films will be housed in the campus library and made available to students and faculty. Dr. Simkins said, "Many of these films are not produced anymore, and we couldn't have gotten them without the donation. They will definitely bean enhancement of educationalopportunities." (cont'd from front page) Galloway has an identical twin sister, Melanie, who also attends WSC, but does not use a wheelchair. Besides her twin, Galloway has three sisters and two brothers. While she was young she traveled with her family because her father is in the Air Force. Galloway attended special schools Professor Don Sharpes has been awarded a Senior Fulbright Award, the U.S. Presidentially appointed Board of Foreign Scholorships and the U.S. Information Agency announced recently. Sharpes and his wife will go to Nicosia, Cyprus in September, 1985, where Sharpes will work as a consultant to the Cypriot Ministry of Education and develop training programs for school administrators. Professor Sharpes has returned this summer from a sabbatical at the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex where he researched teacher education problems in for the disabled until her family was stationed in Guam. She was in sixth grade then and Guam had no special schools. She has attended public schools since that time. "I did not do as good as I wanted to do, but more than other people thought I could do in the public school system," Galloway said. developing countries. His wife, a teacher in Ogden schools, was the recipient, last year, of a Fulbright teaching exchange award, and she taught elementary school in London, England.
