Show Page 8 Signpost Oct. 15, 1974 Anne Murray comes to Weber next week As part of homecoming activities at Weber State College, the Associated Students will sponsor a concert Oct. 24 by' popular recording artist, Anne Murray. Murray, whose hit "Snowbird" received a gold record for selling one million copies, was born in Canada and became famous first in that country. Among others of her best-known recordings are "Danny's Song," "I'll Be Home" and "Put Your Hand in the Hand." ' Following the success of "Snowbird," Murray became a regular on the Glen Campbell Show for CBS television and teamed with him in a Las Vegas Show. She has also starred in England on a BBC television special and other television musical shows and in two Anne Murray Specials in Sweden. She has won numerous awards in Canada, the United States and England. She was named best female vocalist in Canada for three years. She was voted England's top 1 female vocalist (country) for 1972 and received nominations in America by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and by the Academy of Country and Western Music. Having recently completed a tour of the East Coast, the group includes three former Weber State students, Lindee Muller, Mark Brown, and Dee Farr. Flu innoculations given by center Any faculty, staff or student member of Weber State College can obtain an influenza shot today in the Student Health Center.The nurse for the Student Health Center, Margaret Micholson, said that any student, staff member or member of the faculty may obtain their influenza shots for the cost of $4. Nurse Micholson stated that the shots would be given by Dr. R. N.
