Show Page 2 SIGNPOST February 19, 19G0 wpus wpbs Sm 'PmkAJsoM EDITORIALS Last Chance For the third consecutive year, Weber College Wildcats have captured the ICAC basketball championship and are headed for their third division play-off. Weber has a very talented and evenly-distributed team. All players are excellent, but yet none so excels the rest that the team becomes dependent on the skill of a single player. High Scorers Weber's starters are among the highest conference scorers and during many games, all five starting players have hit double column scoring figures. Under the capable coaching of Bill Mann, the Wildcats have made the conference title almost a walk-away, losing only to Boise at Boise, one of the toughest spots in the league to play. Only one more chance is available for students and residents of the Ogden area to see the Wildcats in regular season play drive towards another national championship. Plays USU This Tuesday, Weber meets the USU Frosh in the We ber High School Gym at 8 p.m. This farewell home-game should see not a vacant seat in the house and there probably won't be any empty places. College students are admitted free and so there are very few reasonable excuses for staying away. Homework and studies can be done before or after the game. The final home game in football was neglected; let's see the basketball wind-up does not receive the sametreatment. Instructors Show Works For many weeks, the Art department of the college" has been decorating the halls of Building 1 and 2, primarily, with paintings done mostly by art instructors of neighboring school. Most recent and still on exhibit in the halls are the works of Weber College art instructors, Doyle Strong, Far-rell Collett and Richard Van Wagoner. The exhibits are examples of the talent these gentlemen possess. The Signpost salutes these men for their fine work and sincerely hopes that more exhibits of this kind areforthcoming. g t $ i "JOE SENT ME" Rope Splicer Needed Any person who knows how to splice a rope is urgently needed by John Elzey, technical director of the College production of Showboat". .
