You need take only one look at this beautiful ball and you will agree with me in saying that the Sweetheart Ball is the only "real" dance of the year. The Lady in the Tub should interview the contestants for Sweetheart King and Queen; the results would be very interesting. Ann, Susan, Barbara, Virginia, and Sally haven't left the beauty parlor in the last two days'. When I saw them last Jerry, Doug, Harry, Kent and Lynn were all getting hair cuts and having their shoes shined. The Friendship Banquet was a huge success and we want to give our thanks to Betty Lou Cole, Jeanne Chnstensen ana uaroi Johnson who so ably organized the whole artair. A word in passing: They san minds are like parachutes; they function only when open. Mioko Ban Pledges Tested For Membership The Sharmeans would like to congratulate the members of T.K. on their outstanding sponsorsnip of the annual Friendship Banquet. We also send our good tidings to the "Friendliest Girl" on campus. Ex-President Washington was greatly appreciated by us when we celebrated his birthday Wednesday with no school and extra time to sleep in. But those who appreciated the holiday the most were the vaca tioners of last week ena. juay Davidson and Saundra Beecher finally took the time to put up their hair. Jo Faulkner spent the day counting her Las Vegas winnings - all in dimes. The rest of the troop just slept or stuaiea, (we're still trying for that four point). There has been no sympathy for the pledges from the members of Sharmea. Last Tuesday the pledges took an exam to qualify them for membership, and the members are waiting the scores. Tonight is the Sweetheart Ball, and OT and Excels assure us that it will be tops. P.S. Our two fold motto was sliced last week, and some have been wondering what it is. So here's another try: Qui ne Risque Rien n'a Rien. |
