Show PLANS FOR JUNIOR PROM Whether to hold an elaborate public junior prom at a community hall in April or to hold a private dance in our own hall next month as a substitute is the question before the freshman class officers. In past years the prom has been advertised widely over the county and has been usually preceded by a grand march, led by the governor, state officials, and city officials. It is feared, however, that this year the community is not financially prepared to support such an enter pr i se. Medical Fraternity f.t their last meeting the Pre-Medics voted to join a chapter of the National Medical fraternity, Omega Beta Pi. The club's answer to a letter from the University of Chicago regarding the matter has received no reply as yet. The Pre-Medics entertained the Pre-Legal students at a card party and buffet lunch February 12, in payment of a debt incurred when the Lawyers won the assembly program contest last fall "The Pre-Medics have a lingering suspicion the Lawyers' enjoyment was due in part to the high suspence created by the slight delay in receiving the party. The Lawyers never did say when they wanted the party anyway," says the social committee. EXTERMINATION The Wild Hare, which has graced our hall for the last two weeks, was exterminated last week by action of Blaine Peterson, school treasurer. He confiscated the black board, because "It was filthy. They thought it was collegiate, but it was below colljge standards. No move has been yet made to get it back." Sheldon Winkler, a Hare, in an exclusive interview confided "We could probably wheedle it out of them if we tried. But none of us has enough ambition to resume publication." o Ellen was a well-meaning, industrious girl, and so when we left her in charge of our home, she did her best to fill her position in a capable manner. Before we left my mother gave her several specific instructions, among which was order to economize in the use of water, since we an were on a water meter. A few days after we left, Ellen heard the fire department coming closer until it sounded as if it were in front of the house. When she opened the door a gush of smoke rushed in; the fence at the side of the house was on fire, and in a few minutes it spread to cornice. She walked closer and noticed a fireman hurrying towards the fire with the hose from the front lawn running full force. Indignantly she cried, "Hey, don't use that hose! We're on a water meter," Barbara Lindquist Swagger Suits Are In Demand See them at New York Sample Store Egyptian Theatre Bldg.
