On stolen bases, Kitamura and Vance Bitton tie with 7 each and Jimmy Miyasato is making a strong offensive with 6. Kitamura leads out in runs with 12. Russ Carruth and Jimmy Miyasato crossed home plate nine times each. Last Tuesday's game with Carbon gave Sterling Gardner his fourth win. Several times throughout the game "Sterk" pulled himself out of a hole and dampened the spark of the Price team. Without giving up a single hit until the seventh Ogden Blue Print & Supply Co. At the present time, he dorm is given he best chance to win, because of their big lead over Sigma and Phoenix and their early indications of a strong track team. Phoenix and Sigma, however have shown better in the overall picture of tennis, horseshoes, and softball than the dorm, and may amass enough points to overtake the dorm in these sports. League II in intramural softball was somewhat cleared up Tuesday when Sigma won a 6-5 thriller from a vastly improved Excelsior team. Sigma remains undefeated so far and are heavy favorites to cop their league championship. Phoenix and Alpha Rho are both undefeated in league I. Two all-important games between these teams will be coming up next week to decide the league championship. The Dorm was knocked out of championship consideration when Thair Blackburn, Phoenix hurler, set them down with one hit to give the Phoenix nine an 8-1 victory. Tennis singles, doubles, and horseshoes championships will be run off next week and may tend to clear up the intramural picture before the track meet. The track meet is tentatively set for Tuesday, May 24 at Ogden high school stadium. If the intramural laurels are not decided at the track meet the golf meet will be held on Tuesday, May 26 at El Monte golf course. Wildcat Profiles Catching for the wildcat dia-mondmen this year is Buddy Lau, able home plater for the Weber team. In this series of several profiles, we endeavor to bring to light those fellows who are doing top-notch work in sports and deserve a spotlight but never seem to get one. Buddy, a little quiet and reserved at times, is constantly "on the ball" ready to help bring victory to our school. Mr. Lau also played football last fall and displays shining ability on the track although he hasn't had a chance to operate on the cinders as yet. Weber 310 510 00X 10 11 2 Weber B. A. C.
