Willey Out of the war years emerged a new social life around Weber, of vets' a little older a little wiser. Of the yar's social events, many are deserving mention: The Pin Up Prance of A. W. S., Chanoda's Robinhood Rende-vouz, and the Pastuerizcd Prom, featuring Erma Harris as outstanding milkmaid. Sadie Hawkin's Day is ample proof that old times are back. One of the year's activities of oul standing nature was the Vag. abond King, a tough opperatta ample proof that Weber sudonts are capable of putting over a professional quality show. The High School Debaite Tourney, brought students from 70 different schools to Weber's doors. from Idaho, and Wyoming. The dbate tourney was a masterpiece, of organization, with no confusion prevelant. A few personalities who are definitely outstanding aided in our rampus life with the tiling that makes, college, life rich. Walter R. Buss, a teacher al. ways tolerant of the student point; of view, a father to all his geological brats on the many trips taken in the past. Elaine Stoker, a dependable worker one of the main supports in the Vagabond King, membor of Otyokwa .active in the fall concert. i Elaine Smith, treasurer of Whip, member Otyokwa, active in A. W. S. La Dona Gammon, President A. W. S., treasurer of Otyokwa, member of The Musettes, supporter of all activities. Floyd Champneys, Superintendent of Institute, swimmer, President of Sigma. Theresa Eckenbrecht, President of Whip, active in Chanoda, past Secretary in Lamda Delta Sigma, Omega Chapter. Lorela Sorenson, secretary of A. W. S., a member of Whip, active in; Kalamata as secretary. Arlpne Briem, Chairman of Scholarship Committee, presi. dent of La Dianaeda, active in all campus work. Marylin Robinson offers ample evidence that good things come in, little packages, has taken leading rolls in dramatics, and a member of Otyokwa. Sports were reborn, basketball came back with names like Joe Kennpy a husky guard, who spent three years in the army; Don Jesperson, first forward, a vet of many years in the U. S. Marines. Weber netted a third place in the Compton, California Tourney holding her own against schools of bigger size. A little spring football workout showed Weber will have a good grid section to offer this next season. The enrollment skyrocketed here as in other schools where G. I.'s can spend their hard earned Bill of Rights. The men's biggest plea was A Men's Lounge. A few more wish further recreation, billiard tables and the like.
