WSU's Ahkiah Hunter, below, added four points in the win. trapped us. Tonight we took care of the ball, did a better job of taking care of the ball. Didn't turn it over as many times. Sometimes we did, but 14 turnovers when someone's pressing you, and trapping you the entire game, I think that's pretty incredible. Proud of the way we took care of the ball and played defense, and that converted into a win." Tuomi, and fellow teammates Ali Thorderson and Tashina Taylor, led the Wildcats throughout the game. Tuomi had 20 points. Thorderson had a career-high of 12 points off the bench, shooting 4-5 from 3-point land. Taylor managed a season-high of pulling down nine rebounds. Sophomore Tonya Schnibbe had six assists and posted eight points. "I thought tonight we decided to come out and play as a team," Thorderson said. "We really played good defense, and I thought that we really executed on the defensive end. They only made one three on us, and that was a big part because [Alyssa Pittman] usually averages like 21 points. So that was good, and our posts really played tonight, boxed out and got rebounds." The Wildcats will have a week off before they take on Colorado State University at home on Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. The 'Cats will also host a field-trip day for local elementary schools to come to the Dee Events Center to watch the Wildcats and Brigham Young University play on Dec. 12 at noon. Carla Taylor and the Wildcats encourage the fans to wear white to the game to contrast with BYU's blue and bring a lunch to eat with the elementary students.
