Monster truck 6:30 p.m. - While pulling out of a parking spot in the A8 lot, a red Nissan Frontier backed into a tan Honda Accord. The Honda received damage on its hood. Wafting weed 10 p.m. - An officer smelled marijuana on the 8th floor of Promontory Tower. He found where the smell was coming from and cited two minors. The officer cited the first for possession and unlawful consumption and the other for possession of tobacco and unlawful consumption. Tuesday, Sept. 27 Wednesday, Sept. 28 Exhibitionist 8:32 p.m. - Police pulled over a man for doing doughnuts in the W5 parking lot. The man told police he was teaching his female passenger how to handle a vehicle. He was given a warning for exhibition of speed and reckless driving. Wafting weed part two 10:05 p.m. - Police again received two calls about the smell of marijuana on the 8th floor of Promontory Tower. One of the same individuals from Monday was cited again. This time, police cited the individual for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Got a key, get to study 11:30 p.m. - A resident at Promontory Tower notified police because a man who did not live in PT had a key to the building and let himself in. Police found the man and the owner of the key. Under further investigation, police found the owner of the key lent it to the man so he could get in the building so they could study together. Friday, Sept. 30 Porcupine in a pickle 1:58 a.m. - A porcupine was stuck in a fence near building 4 at University Village. Police were notified and responded. Stolen backpack 9:45 a.m. - Somebody stole a backpack from the men's bathroom in Building 4. The contents are estimated to cost $200 to $250, mostly being books. The case is open and pending. Where is my son? 1:50 p.m. - A man in Maryland called the Weber State University Police Department asking if they would check on his son, a WSU student, because he had not heard from him for about 17 days. The police found the student at Canyon Cove Apartments and told him to call home. Saturday, Oct. 1 Spidey climbs, Superman flies 1:15 p.m. - Police received a call because a man had locked himself out on the 3rd floor balcony of the Kimblall Visual Arts Center. Police came and let him back in. •UN officials are concerned that certain changes in the Iraqi electoral laws do not meet international standards. Look at what's coining up in The Signpost JERUSALEM NEW ORLEANS •New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin announced the lay off of 3,000 city employees - nearly 40 percent of the city's payroll. Hit and run 10:14 a.m. - A bicyclist crashed into a woman crossing Edvalson Street between the LDS Institute of Religion and the Social Science Building. The woman ended up in the hospital and the man left the scene. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to obey traffic laws and failure to yield. playing soccer on the field near the community center at University Village.
