"The expectations are very high for the team. It's not going to be just a walk in the park; it will be tough, but they can do it." With the plan in place, there is not much left to do except execute, and at this point there should be no looking back for the team. According to Coach McBride, the team needs to continue to make forward strides and not take any steps back. The summer will also allow players to make personal gains, but the focus will be on improving as a team. "This year's spring went pretty well, but that's it, pretty well," said middle linebacker Eric Jones, "This summer will be vital for us as a team to work on the things that we need to improve on, and the summer will be a great time to do that." For the Wildcats, every day this summer will be important, and the players and coaches all understand that. "No wasted days," McBride said. "And that's what it's going to be. By the end of the upcoming season, all the hard work is going to pay off." You can leave a message for reporter Thomas Hunter by calling 626-7983.
