The Wildcat men finished collect enough points to qualify 25th overall in the 37-team for the NCAA Championships event, a disappointing finish in November. Both teams failed considering their expectations to do so, but some big-meet going in. Brady Fosmark Weber State defensive end Brady Fosmark was named co-defensive player of the week by the Sports Network for his performance against Sacramento State Saturday. Fosmark, a 6-foot-3, 250pound junior, compiled 14 tackles in WSU's 31-12 loss to the Hornets. He tallied 11 solo tackles, seven tackles for loss and three quarterback sacks. Fosmark is a candidate for the Buck Buchanan Award, given to the top defensive player in Division I-AA. He needs just 2.5 sacks to become the Wildcats' all-time leader in that category. Even Fosmark's nationally respected performance was not enough for the Wildcats to avoid falling to 0-7 on the season, the second-worst start in school history.
