The above cartoon is a free translation of the fevered brow and shocking salesmanship most of you will display before the day is over. Everyone here is interested in what you're doing. Don't fail to tell them. This tournament- is for our benefit. Sounds selfish, and it is selfish. It takes a mountain of time to do research into the problem you're debating today, time a lot of us don't have. Thanks for the opportunity to hear the facts and figures on one of the vital problems of today. It's your campus for two days. Make the most of it. The hot discussion on the Drill Team was apparently tabled after the meeting held February 4th in which the problem was discussed fro m many angles including those of the women's gym teacher, Carol Westmoreland. She maintained that something should be done, but that the Drill Team was doing the best job possible under the present circumstances. The administration would like to see something in the way of more snappy drills and costumes. At the game held on the 7th of February the Drill Team did a routine which spoke of considerable work and one for which the girls should take proper credit. The Board and those participating in the discussion decided that more money was needed and that there should be some form of motivation introduced to make more girls interested in the activity. No mention was made of the problem in last Monday's meeting however.
