(excuse me.) Here's a note from our president: Dennis Dahl has been elect ed the most promising model for the space man character study at the Snow Carnival today. The Friend-s h i p Banquet really ought to be a smasher this year seeing as who all the plans and preparations were made during the basketball and paddle ball game intermissions. (Is there anyone who doesn't care for ping pong ball ala fruit cocktail?)Well Mergatroid, its about that time again. Places All Star On Team By Barbara Blanchard Congratulations to L. D. sophomore Pauline Morley who made the girls all-star basketball team. The alternates chosen from L. D. were Sally Lindsey, Judy McFar-land, and Donna Sparks. Way to go swabbies! L. D.'s membership banquet was held on February 1. We haven't decided whether j or not there is going to be a I if "Show Boat" Dancers Working Toward Opening Production Date One of the hardest working groups participating in the Opera is the dance corps under 1 the direction of Mrs. Mary Ellen Bailey. This is .Mrs. Bailey's fifth production for Weber College in the role of choreographer. From previews of the dances it proves to be one of her most successful ones. The corp made up of twenty male and female dancers contains students of the all the departments of interest on campus. Lynn Taylor is a studentbody officer at Weber. Gordon Hadley's. interest is sports. Dave Strom-berg, who also has a speaking role in the show, is the new Signpost Business Manager, a Music Major, and a member of Phoenix. Bert Coop was a Signpost outstanding personality and is interested in music. Lynn Boss divides his interests between music and Sweetheart Ball yet so don't make wrestiing. Lynn is' from Coalville. any definite plans. Miss Blanchard Indian Maidens Hold Banquet By Shannon Reyns The Indian Maidens started this week off with the membership banquet. Gloria Storrer was in charge of the banquet Norman Fowers is one of the most accomplished piano players at Weber and will use this talent in the show as well as dance. Parri Fifield combines being a singer and dancer with his major field of Engineering. Charles Timothy who is from Roosevelt, plays a trumpet and is majoring in art. Ahmed Ahzarian in an Iraian Student and has had much experi ence at folk dancing. Richard Day Utah State Rodeo." Captain of the Colleens, and a member of O.T. Elaine Parker is another former cheerleader and played the female lead in the "Late Mr. Early" earlier this year. Joyce Eldridge will also be remembered in "Show Boat" in the role of Fatima the Couch dancer. This is her third dancing role at Weber. Janet Bell is known well for her dancing ability. She is a member of O.T. Charlene Crouch was on the OHS Drill Team and is a member of Sharmea. Nancy Stan-field is a singer and dancer of much experience. She recently did the choreography for "Oedipus." Marilyn Stevens is a member of Sharmea and is a former Business Manager of the Weber High School paper. Merrill Smith was a member of OHS Drill Team and has been dancing for many years.
