Show SIGNPOST Thursday, December 15, 1949 Kitties Grab Two Wins On Junket Page 4 Happy New Year ! i vi Spreading good will and playing exciting one-point margin games seems to be the prime objective of our bucketball boys in Mexico. Our boys have come through three games now and have won two of them; their only loss at the hands of Amarillo, Texas by a score of 55-54. Their second game was played at Big Springs, Texas, where the host was Howard J. C. With Keith Se-well pacing the way with a total of 25 points the Weber squad came through with a sounding 57-46 triumph. In the most thrilling game so far of the trip, against University of Mexico, Don Dinsdale hit a corner shot with just two seconds left on the clock that put Weber ahead as the gun sounded. Coach Swenson said they were being treated royally and the Rotary club of Mexico City were planning events such assight-seeing tours and a good old Mexican bull fight. Maybe the boys will really be able to throw the bull Mexican style when they get home.
