Dearest Edris: Do you know last night on "Mia-ma Shore" I heard Old Man Jazz" whispering to "Jingo" and I heard him say: "Tell Me Little Gypsy," are you "Tired of Me?" and "Jingo" said, oooh! La, Ueeda, "But I Might Be Yours, Once in Awhile," and then Old Man Jazz said, kinda "Slow and Easy," "I've Found I Can't Live Without You." Then Old Jingo said, I know what it means to be lonesome, "for didn't you leave me years ago?" over here "a million miles from nowhere" in the Land of San Domingo." Now you come back in "Sweet September" and find me "Waiting" in "An Old Fashioned Garden" and you want to build me a "Love Nest." Then "Old Man Jazz" said "Forgive me'' and give me another "Smile and a Kiss" and we will let the rest of the world go by" and then I heard Jingo say, "Daddy you've been a mother to me." Gosh! I almost fainted, for I just woke up to the fact then that he was her Dad! Just like a Gypsy, eh "Avalon?" Always keeping a "Buddy" wondering. Well "Avalon," I'll be with you in "Apple Blossom Time," and then we will "Feather a Nest.' of the hen and the cow for me" in the dusk. As ever, your Take care "and wait Dorothy. MY TEACHER I have had many teachers while going thru school. But not one has lived up to my "Golden Rule." So out from them all I have picked a few features That I like to see most in an ideal teacher. She must be a sport and a friend all in one, And allow us to have our full measure of fun. She must see thru our actions and cttind all our iokes. But be able to manage and not be a poke. She must be all wise and gain our respect, But if she is nagging her prospects are wrecked. .She has to be helping and have patience galore. But. if she is .-hasty it makes us feel sore. She must have reason and not always be fuming, But, above everything else, she must be "just human." Helen Wilson. I n.bwmd.wuiis uneeiiuny given j Interior and Exterior. j P.O. BOX 603 OGDEN, UTAH j DANCING i. Dancing is' the oldest art That has been known to man. Its always played the greatest part Ever since the world began. TI. Perhaps when the evening' chores were done. And the sun was going down. Eve would dance the Highland fling And Adam the cake-walk brown. III. Since then the styles of dancing Have waxed and waned at will; The Egyptians dancing on their tombs Thi3 style is with us still. IV. With their pointings and their stiff salutes They had a dance quite rare; But as this dance is done today It often makes one stare. V. The dance our grandmas used to do Are stiff old dances square; They used to stand ten feet apart, Then bow and curtsey there. VI. But these old things don't interest me Because they're mostly fakes. The modern dance is far the best, And it surely takes the cake! VII. It is distinct from all the rest, And there's a reason fine; It includes the schottische, the cake- walk and The shimmy are combined. VIII. Our mothers may dance those an cient jigs, But as for me and mine, Give me the cat-hop, kangaroo-slide And the camel-hug divine. Helen Wrilson. It's funny how those "21s'' remain on various roofs, isn't it? Congratulations, "Pat." Ogden' s Leading Dentists We wish you a Merry Christmas. We wish happiness throughout the coming year.
