December 20 Pueblo, Colorado, A six foot five inch, 200 pound hunk of co-ordinated human protoplasm, has brought athletic fame to Weber College and himself by being the first athlete at Weber ever to be named on the National Junior College All-Star football team. This "Player Plus," . is LeRoy Overstreet, offensive and defensive end who has given the Wildcats two years of rugged nose grinding play. Overstreet was nominated by coaches in the area and selected as all-star material; fine enough to be one of 22 players in the western states to be honored by the selections. Game at Stockton The East-West Junior College All-Star game will be played Saturday, Dec. 20, at Stockton, California, in the Memorial Stadium. It is the highest peak of junior college ball and an annual grudge between the East and West All- Stars. Any player participating in the game is considered an All-American.An expense-paid trip, gold watch and jacket are the treats in store for Weber's All-Star. This is a group selected from the Inter-mountain area including players from Boise, who placed high in national rank. LeRoy hails from Chandler, Arizona, and just finished his military obligation before coming to Weber last year. He has been working as assistant manager in a local motel and is associated with Excelsior Men's Club. Cats to Howl at Caroling Party Attention: All lovers of Christmas music! Why don't you come out Dec. 22 and make some! The Associated Women Students and Associated Men Students are sponsoring a Caroling Party which will meet down on the lower quad at 7 :30 p. m. After caroling, the Weber Collegians will go back to the ballroom for hot chocolate and donuts. A dance will be held afterwards.
