T-. .,:, :,.,J8t, By Goldie Wayment The first sign of spring in WIA was the archery meet last week in which the "Robin Hoods" of Shar-mea took highest honors. Trophies, ribbons, W's, and certificates will be given to the participants in WIA at an honor banquet at Old MacDonald's Farm April 30. All girls on campus are invited to attend. WIA Offers Playday The last event of WIA this year will be the Weber College Playday given for senior girls from Ogden, Ben Lomond, and Weber County high schools at 3 p. m, May 2nd. Events scheduled for this day are. basketball, softball, tennis, ping pong and archery. The high school teams will compete among each other and also Weber College teams. At the conclusion of these events, WIA will present a comedy diving and water ballet show for the girls. Concluding the year's events the WfA officers would like to thank all girls who participated in basketball, swimming, volleyball and ping pong. Last week's events included a swim meet, three scheduled soft-ball games, a track meet, and tennis tournament. In the swimming event, Sigma and their fish aced top spot with (!2 points. Their workers were the Price brothers, and Bob Burns. Excels snatched number two place with 27 points mainly accumulated by Roger Cox, Pete Wiuff, and Al Heitz. Phoenix captured third place with a total of 15 Mi marks. Their big work horse was Ed Hyde. With one entry, Alpha Rho placed first in the 40 yard free style to gather 5 points. Softball Excels and Sigma tied '-," in the first I M softball game of the season.
