Show Soc e 6Pink Lady' Fun Ends Vacation The long, wonderful, carefree time called summer is at last .over and the Pink Ladies of Sharmea are all ready to get back to the old grind. Their many summer activities included their rush party (of course) held at "Copper Cottage." What fun the "ladies" had eating, playing, and just plain talking, not to mention Colleen's excursion up the canyon. Besides this, they had a party with Alpha Rho at the Weber Stake memorial park, after which they all hiked to their cars in the dark. Of course, they had the lights turned out on them. Their party with Phoenix at Co-mo was really terrific, so they had another party at the same place the next week with 0. T., Alpha Rho, Excels, and Phoenix again. Now Sharmea is looking forward to their second rush and hoping to help make this school year as wonderful as last. Excels Lure Frosh ? Plan Final Assault Excelsior Men's Club has served notice that it intends keeping top club ranking by staging its usual booming blast and by attracting the most prominent freshmen prospects to the rush parties. The first rush, held at Snow Basin on Sept. 10 was thoroughly enjoyed by better than 55 freshmen. The second rush which will be a date affair will be held in early October and the probable night is the Hotel Ben Lomond Ballroom, .Excelsior officers, George Stet-tler, Jim Freston, Larry King, and Jim Lee are mapping plans for a final assault on the intramural traveling trophy. The men of excelsior have walked away with competition for the past two years, and if they win again this year the trophy will automatically become theirs for permanent possession. Sigmas Hold Rush In Copper Cottage The Maroon Goons of Sigma held a rip-snorting rush party Saturday night, September 17th, at the policemen's club house, at the mouth of Ogden Canyon. The "Copper Cottage," located in the scenic splendor of Ogden's Mountains provided a refreshing back-ground for what local gentlemen and the refined Sigma Delt's are referring to as the most entertaining social event of the rush season. Amid the pleasant surroundings of the decorated club house, Alum and rushees alike cavorted to the edification .of all concerned. At the helm this year are those three bon vivants about the campus, Thomas Quinn, Ron "don't call me Spots" Brown, and Larry Tomlin-son.Plans are being discussed for the second rush; a date affair to be held in some well-known be dance hall in the near future.
