This is the traditional opener for the Wildcats. Also traditional is that we beat 'em. After a reduction in the squad the Wildcats have one of the most promising squads since the Hull-Harbertson-Tucker days. That was the last time Weber represented Region Four in the NJCAA tournament in Hutchison, Kansas. Many Prep Standouts Many local high schools are represented in this year's casaba squad. From Ogden comes Ted Campbell and Curt Van Alfen, a returning letterman. Roy Hassel, an all-stater two years is vieing for a position on the starting quintet of the Wildcats. From up Bear River way comes Leonard Hoskins, a speedy guard, and Clair Stokes, standout performer in last year's State "A" finals. Reese Quayle has joined the purple clads from Zion (Box Elder). Glen Campbell is looking good in practice. He played last year for Morgan High. North Summit Performer A long ways from home comes Dick Juluson. Dick hails from North Summit. Wildcats Hit the Road Next month the Wildcats take the road for an extended journey into the Midwest. They travel through Colorado, and Kansas, where they will play seven games. Pasadena Drops Weberites 42-0 Weber's efforts proved fruitless in the first half, and they all but folded in the second as Pasadena City College snowed them under 42 to 0 in the Rose Bowl Classic. Cats Threaten The Wildcat line held in the first period, and they showed to be a threatening scoring power. They reached deep into Pasadena teritory several times, but each time the PCC line held. Bob Browning recovered a fumble from the Pasadenans, but the Wildcats were unable to push across for a TD, and with seconds remaining on the clock Pasadena took over on their own six-yard line. nxiiiiiiiiiiiaiiiiiiiiiiiiDiiiiiiiiiiiiaiiiiiiiiiiiiDiiiiiiiiiiiiaiiiiiin D I ELIZABETH'S !
