EX 3-3366 Page 6 Best Players By JUDY DEAN WIA Reporter In the last five or six weeks volleyball has been the heated 11-valry between clubs on campus. Each club had a team and then some, down at the gym each Friday night to cheer their team on. It was quite a sight to see each club pulling for their team. The spirit and enthusiasm was great. We appreciate the enthusiasm the girls have shown on campus. WIA has picked six all-stars on their merit of play and their en thusiasm shown in playing the games. We have picked; Cheryl Parry, Nancy Cole, Jeanne Mackenzie, Pat Merger, Ruth Walsh and Judy Dean. Alternates were Jill Bateman, Lois Stoddard, Pauline Mtfrley, Judy McFarland, Myrna Putnum, Karen Olson, Suzanne Stock, Lou Ann Wakefield. Next that will take place and which all of us are looking forward to is bowling. Our first games will be today at 8:00 at the White City Bowl. Each team will play today (we hope). So come down and cheer your team on. They need you and want your spirit and enthusiasm. This year Weber's small but scrappy - Lynn Foxley, was chosen an one of the guards for the West team. Lynn was born in Davis County where he lives now. He graduated from Davis High School where he was a state champion wrestler and played guard for the Davis regional champs. Lynn is attending Weber on an Athletic Scholarship and is ma joring in diesel mechanics. Foxley is always being kidded by other team mates and by Wal- ly "Stubby" Nalder because of his size, but anyone who has played with him or watched him knows that he is packed with dynamite when he is on the field. Whatever he lacks in size he makes up for in desire. Lynn, who has been offered an Athletic Scholarship to New Mexico, is still undecided as to his future. The East won the All-Star game 15-8. The Cat Grid Iron team was honored by a board of control spon sored dinner last Saturday. Speakers included President Miller, and Coach Wally Nalder. Dean Christensen was the force behind the appropriate and well deserved banquet. One last hurrah to the team on a job perfectly done. NEED SEAT COVERS?
