Show OVERTON , NEVADA. Brig Whitmore left for St. George Monday on business. T. J. Jones has been down with the grip, but it is hoped he is now on the improve. We were visited last week by M. I. A. missionaries, Elders Horsley and Durham, who gave us some very good instructions. Mrs. Eliza Ingram arrived home yesterday yes-terday from Kanarraville, Utah, where she has been for the past five months visiting relatives and friends. Joseph Cooper and family have moved mov-ed back to Washington, their old home. Brother Cooper was our choir leader and will be missed in the singing. People are busy making gardens. The almond and peach trees are in bloom; grain is up and looking very nice. The weather has been like summer sum-mer for the past week, but we fear a cold snap in March. We learn today that Mr, Parley Black of Utah, and Miss Dorcas Averett, of St. Joseph, were married the other day at Chloride, Arizona, where they have been working for some time. They passed through here today on their way home. We wish them much happiness. |
