touring to los angeles last tuesday evening sept 18 eight miles east of mesquite mr air brown was driving down the grade from littlefield bench into big bend ranch now oc aupied by myron D abbott his car left the grade and went down the side of the mountain the first leap the car made after leaving the grade it jumped about feet striking on radiator end then turning end over end several times the 12 year old son dropped out the first time the car turned over his neck k was broken and he had many bruises about the head the other two occupants remained with the car until it turned over the last time the three abbott broth ers were in the field below heard the screaming of mrs brown as the car left the grade and looked up in time to see the wreck they immediately ran to the scene picked up the un fortunate ones and rendered every assistance possible the boy was dead the mother expired in a few moments mr air brown was brought to mesquite taken to ablott abbott s hotel and nursed back to life doctor woodbury of st george was the at tending physician the bodies were embalmed and prepared tor for shipment by pickett bros of st george mr air brown is still at abbott s hotel george H bowler left this morning for enterprise he was called there to the bedside of his little grand daughter who is ill the little daughter of mr air and mrs lamond hughes has been very ill III tor for
