Show FOR OHI br dr frank J woodbury passed away at hia his home in this city about 5 6 20 p in monday after a long ill ness the end was not unexpected tor for he had suffered intensely and it was realized that human endurance has a limit he bore his suffering with surprising fortitude by the devotion of his wife member of his family and numerous friends full obituary will appear in next sue of the news funeral services were held in the stal stale e tabernacle at 5 30 p in tues day there being a very large number of friends present to pay their last respects to the departed brother all tores closed and business was sus the stand was draped ic iv white and beautifully decorated with various kinds of flowers the ices were conducted by bishop jame jamel u mcarthur W services commenced with long time often going to care tor for the sick when he was suffering more than those whom he attended you sons and daughters have had a splendid father and mother there Is joy in knowing that we will peace joy and happiness of life I 1 have just returned from attending a funeral 50 miles from here of a man john H harrison Har who spent his life in a spirit of humility one of god s noblemen people came from tar far and near to the little village where he spent his life to pay their last respects to him this fellow feel ing and comradeship impressed me as one of the compensations of death it seems that dr woodbury had been beer cut down in what ought to be the prime of life just when he could have done the most good tor for his fellow man he had ben i t i 1 illar of strength to his family he came I 1 ere as a young man fresh from college i d became the family physician and friend of the people of st george and in hundreds of households there is sincere mourning in his pass passing i yet in death he has found a happy re lease from his suffering words word cannot express lour our appreciation for dr woodbury as a physician he al i ways responded to the call of distress sunshine or dark rain or shine rich or poor it made no difference so long as he relieved the pains of those in distress he was indeed a martys tc tic the ethics of his profession tor for he did not shield or favor himself ers gave up he kepton kept on and his mem ory cry will live in our hearts he was ef s faithful latter day saint true to hit ME covenants he was always clean and sweet and a man in whom one could always confide he was a splendid citizen and public spirited he dished one of the scientific depart ments in our college our grief i IQ so evident that none can doubt its sincerity our hearts are full ol 01 gratitude tor for him he lived tor for those that loved him and for the good he could do in your hearts I 1 feel there is a hearty echo to all I 1 have said 1 l f lit his dear wife showed her devotion by remaining at his bedside day and night god bless his faithful wife his children and his dear mother bishop mcarthur said he felt a though he was attending the funeral of his own brother they had beer boys together he had grown up with him and there is none I 1 have known better our grief at his passing and appreciation of his life cannot be ex pressed in words I 1 thank god toi for my associations with dr woodbury all that has been said of him here IQ i true as a boy he was pure in heart we were boys together in the dea con s quorum pres cannon and pres cottam being our bishops and w appreciated their influence on oui our lives dr woodbury s mother ha been a mother to me I 1 pray that chiq hi children would emulate his example ina have the same faith la U god thai tha their father had our only soure source of comfort at time of death i through our faith in our father dr woodbury is a prince in israel I 1 ask the blessings of god on chiq hi wife mother
