Show Four Wards of St. George Join For Gold and Green Ball Uniting as usual for their annual Gold and Green Ball the four St. George wards of the M. I. A. have selected their King and Queen for the Ball to be held Friday evening, eve-ning, February 28 in the St. George Recreation hall. These are Miss Mary Grace Bentley, Queen, and Wayne Prince, King, the West ward contestants who won in the election over the couples from the East, Center and South wards. Pres. Harold S. Snow of St. George stake will crown the royal couple at 10 p. m., Friday evening. Their official attendants will be the representatives from the other three wards as follows: From the East, Barbara Truman and Weston Wes-ton Seegmiller; from the Center ward, Ruth Hafen and Phil Squire, and from the South ward, Viola Jameson and Elmer Cox. The presentation will be set to the song theme, "America the Beautiful", with patriotic decorations. decora-tions. Bleak Snow will precede the royal cortege as trumpeter and two tiny sisters Loretta and Arlene McArthur will be flower maids. They will be followed by two junior Uncle Sammies, Bobby Reber, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Reber and Bobby Ashby, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. N. Ashby, who will carry the official crowns. The presentation program is in charge of Mrs. Pearson H. Corbett. Mrs. Mae A. Pace will be accompanist ac-companist for the presentation program, Mrs. Dean A. Peterson will read the pageant and Clive Hartman will be soloist, singing, "America, the Beautiful". |
