Show Wedding Reception Held At L. B. S. Institute for Mr. and Mrs. Alma Woodbury Many relatives and friends assembled as-sembled Saturday evening. May 15 at the L. D. S. Institute building to extend "best wishes" to Mr. and Mrs. Alma Woodbury, who were married during the evening in the St. George Temple, Pres. Harold S. Snow officiating. Parents Par-ents of both bride and groom united in giving the reception. The bride is the former Miss Luen Atkin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Atkin, and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Woodbury, all of St. George. Mrs. Woodbury is graduating this week from the Dixie junior college, lower division. Mr. Woodbury graduated in 1941 and is now an instructor in the Army flying school at Cedar City, having had his cadet training at Dixie college. For the reception the bride wore her wedding dress of white taffeta, taf-feta, a full-skirted floor-length model with finger-tip veil. She was attended by Miss Ruby Piatt of Newcastle, as bridesmaid, and Rodney Burgess of St. George was the groom's best man. Many useful and beautiful presents pres-ents were received by the couple who make their home in Cedar City for the present. |
