Show deaths james bennett bracken died nt his home in this cia tan 19 i short illness of pneumonia he had been in rather poor health for some time hut was about until with in a few days of his death james bennett bracken was born at highland madson co sept 4 1845 a son of james B and sarah head backen B acken he joined the church of jesus christ of lat ter day saints at an early age and came to utah in 1850 in the same company as chas F foster his warm friend of this city he was married oct 11 1869 in the endowment house S lit lake city to marian whimple ople and of this union seven children survive ai follows mrs P E beckstrom pine valley arthur gosp B cedar city maud cedar city ha pine valley wallace central and lawrence central 28 grand one great grandchild three br othera and two sisters survive him his first wife died june 5 1901 and on june 30 1908 he married mrs addie E price of this city who survives him he was a pioneer of st byrge arriving here dec 12 1861 he helped to bring immigrants across the plains by ox team and was assistant to captain D D mcarthur he as alco an indian war veteran having taken part in the indian troubles in this section he waa counselor to bishop fred W jones of pine valley for many years he performed a mission to the isles in 1890 1 in turn he engaged in lumbering farming and stork raising he was a director in the bank of st geliga and was always ready to help in ft cause he hafl an sterling citizen loved and respected by his fellow men a devoted and dutiful husband a kind and loving father funeral services vices were held in the st george stake tabernacle monday afternoon under direction of bishop james mcarthur and were well attended and imp the speakers were pres edw H isnow chas F foater fred jones and william gardner thos R forsyth and E M brown solos were sung by mrs aggie winsor mrs W R pike and mrs D R forsha the remains were taken to pine valley for interment Inter menk WILLIAM I 1 casotr william lancaster was toland dead on the door top of F A blatus residence about 7 0 clock tuesday morning he had beer complaining of internal pains for some time but was not regarded as beine ill he was at the moving picture show monday and was lat seen alive in the blair kitchen about 1180 he lived in a tent on the bl ir lot and it is supposed that he was taken suddenly with a spasm as he waa trying to enter the house come time in the night which ended fatally he wai born in in diana A son of mr and mrs W right lancaster and was ab u 57 hi father helped in the building of the bt george temple und the family afterwards lived at washington where W right lancaster died and was buried wm lancaster came to this city about 18 years ago and has resided here since he has two sisters living in salt lake city but no relative hero funeral service etere held in the til bishop james mcarther nr conducting the were elders R A morris george brooka john E bacs and mrs louie blair aitor A JR A ir acm rf air and mrs W A fullerton of this city died at his home hero monday night jan 21 he had been in poor health for some time he was born in this city august 17 1871 and was unmarried he was a volunteer in the spanish ameri can war and had been in south america working in mines he 13 well spoken of by many friends who him as of a agential nature and kindly disposition which even failing health failed to disturb funeral services were held in the tabernacle Ta wednesday under bishop james me arthur ROBFRT BONDS robert bonds died at the home of his step daughter mrs john T miles at diamond valley sunday jan 20 owing to failing health he came here from idaho about six weeks ago and has been living at diamond valley since he was about 63 ears old and one of the old timers of silver reef where he was engineer at mill he is survived by two daughters one in idaho and one in salt lake city funeral services were held in the tabernacle the speakers being elder D R forsha of this city and elder sproul of washington the remains were taken to washington for interment where the remains of his wife are buried |
