Show "PETER B. JOHNSON 1 FUNERAL IS HELD ON SAT., APRIL 3RD I Funeral services for Peter B. (Johnson were held in the St. I George stake Tabernacle at 4:00 "Saturday afernoon under the di-Vctlon di-Vctlon of Bishop Arthur K. Half" Ha-lf" of the East ward. A vocal duet, "Jesus, Lover of My Soul", was given by Mrs. J Viola Centry and Mrs. Lillian Cox, and the opening prayer was offered by James Mc Arthur, j Scriptural readings were given jty Levi Harmon a close friend (of Mr. Johnson who also gave a brief history of his life and paid tribute to him as a man of char-(U'ter, char-(U'ter, a lover of children and a (Continued on page eight) 1 I JOHNSON FUNERAL j (Continued from first page) i thoughtful and devoted husband and father. Other speakers were i Leo A. Snow and George F. Miles, j They mentioned him as a sincere, -earnest, and religious man, a teacher of education, a servant of mankind and a man who was kind sympathetic and an example to anyone. Bishop Hafen thanked all who i had taken part and told of the I joy his association with Mr. and Mrs. Johnson had brought him. The closing number was a vocal ; duet, "Perfect Day" by Mrs. r Marie Meeks and Miss Irene Cox and the closing prayer was of- j fered by Joseph T. Atkin Sr. Interment was made in the city cemetery. g His children were in attendance j from Los Angeles. Mrs. Johnson intends to make her home in St. e George. a |
