Show MINING MAN DIED HERE WEDNESDAY Celey Orris Newell, 72, of Provo, died Wednesday at 1 a. m., at the Arrowhead hotel of heart trouble. He and his wife had spent the last five weeks in St. George for the benefit of his health. Mr.' Newell was born April 26, 1S59, and had been connected with the mining industry the greater part of his life. He spent much time at Silver Reef during the boom years, and also worked in Pioche and in. mines in Iron county. On March 16, 1902, he was married to Mrs. Ella S. Clay of Kentucky, a widow with two children, at Jack Rabbit, a mining min-ing camp near Pioche. She and the two step-children, Mrs. G. O. Harris, Provo, and Mrs. Lucy N. Hoaglin cjf Los Angeles, survive. |
