Show FUNERAL SERVICES FOR Mil RESIDENT Died in Salt Lake Hospital While Preparations Were Being Made to Operate. Funeral services were held last Thursday in Virgin over the remains re-mains of Alva Charlesworth, who died in a hospital in Salt Lake City. Mr. Charlesworth had been employed em-ployed in the mines at Park City for the past three or four years and a few months ago was struck on the head by a falling rock. This affected his mind to a certain cer-tain ' extent and he was being treated in Salt Lake City. On Monday, March 10, he was hit by an automobile and taken to the hospital where an X-ray showed that a portion of his skull was pressing on his brain. Preparations Prep-arations were being made for an operation and while the nurse was out of his room for a few minutes, min-utes, Charlesworth stabbed himself him-self and died two hours later. He was born at Kanosh on April 8, 1897. Besides his mother, Mrs. Jacob Lee, he is survived by a stepfather, Jacob Lee, his father, John Charlesworth, one brother, Evan Charlesworth ol Joseph City and the following hall brothers and sisters: James and Calvin Charlesworth ol Kanosh, Mrs. Melissa Me-lissa Van Winkle, ol Delta; Mrs. Mabel Pierce of Richfield; Mrs. Eleanor El-eanor Kinner of Sparks, Nevada, Ne-vada, and Lorin, Irvin, Elwood, Lavida and Wilmer Lee of Virgin. Services were conducted by Bishop Alma Flanigan, with music by the ward choir. The speakers were Elders Robert Dean, Sylvester Earl, ETisha Lee and Bishop Alma Flanigan. Benediction Bene-diction was by Niles Earl and the grave was dedicated by Daniel W. Mathews. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Charleswcrth and children cf Joseph City and Mrs. Eleanor Kinner and Irvin Lee cf Sparks attended the funeral. |
