Show LUTHER D. CHILDS DIES AT OGDEN SUNDAY, NOV. 17 OGDEN Luther D. Childs, 40. advertising man of Ogden and Salt Lake City, died Sunday morning at a local hospital after an illness of four days. The family fam-ily home is in the Fern apartments. apart-ments. Mr. Childs was a resident of Dixie during '2S, '29, and '30 when he was employed by the Arrowhead Petroleum corporation as bookkeeper and office manager. manag-er. He was born August 31, 1S95. in Orarigeville, a son of the late Parker A. and Josie Coats Childs. He served in the signal corps of the United States army in the World war. After the war he taught for several years in rovo and Emery county schools. At the time of his death he was employed as salesmanager for a gold mining concern of Boise, Idaho. Surviving are his widow, Mary-Reeves Mary-Reeves Childs; a son, Luther D. Childs Jr., and four brothers and a sister, DeVere Childs of Ogden, Og-den, Parker A. Childs of Huntington, Hun-tington, Ernest and Alfred Child:: of Orangeville and Mrs. Ralph Larter of Mackay, Idaho. Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Larkin and Son's mortuary by Bishop David J. Wilson of the Ogden L. D. S. Twelfth ward |
