Show FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN ARIZONA Judge Jesse E. Crosby of Hol-brook, Hol-brook, Arizona, died at that place March 1. He was a son of George H. and Sarah Brown Crosby, a native of Leeds, Utah. During the years of 1899 to 1901 he was a student of the Utah state agricultural agri-cultural college, filled a mission to the central states in 1903 to 1905. ; and studied law at Ann Arbor, ! Michigan, from 190S to 1910. He served one term as county attor-I attor-I ney of Navajo county, Arizona, after which he was elected judge of that county, serving three terms, 1919 to 1931. He w'as one of a family of ten sons, and a daughter, and is survived sur-vived by his mother, his widow, j Mrs. Ruth Crouse Crosby, a son j Bronson Crosby, a sister, Mrs. Meme Wilkbank of Eagar, and four brothers, Benjamin B. of Springerville, Ariz., George H. Jr., Evanston, Wyo.; Charles W., St. George, and Albert W. of Eagar, Ariz. His father is buried in the St. George cemetery. Judge Jesse Crosby and his brother, bro-ther, George H., both of whom have served on the - Arizona superior su-perior court bench, are natives of Washington county. George was born at Hebron where his father was the first bishop, and Jesse at Leeds, while his father was bishop there. |
