Show IS. MARY NAEGLE ENDS LONG CAREER Wcs Prominent Church and Com-nunity Com-nunity Worker for Years; Funeral Field Monday. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Louisa Kepple Naegle. 92-year-old resident of Toquerville, who died at her home there Saturday, were held Monday in the ward hall. The opening prayer was by Martin Anderson. The speakers were John T. Beatty and David Hirschi, and a poem was read by Walter H. Slack. A ladies' chorus sang "Oh My Father," and a vocal solo was given by W. H. Manning. Benediction was by Alma Wake-ling. Wake-ling. The grave in the Toquerville cemetery was dedicated by W. H Slack. Mrs. Naegle was torn in Shcl-byville, Shcl-byville, Indiana, December 9. 1837, and was married June 15, 1853 to John Conrad Naegle. For many years she lived .in Mexico, coming to Toquerville in 1912, where she has since resided. Two children survive, Mrs. Leah Evans, and Mrs. Rachel Brown, both of Los Angeles. Ernest Steiner, whom she raised from infancy, also sur vives and attended the funeral. Other survivers are eleven grandchildren grand-children and twenty-seven greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Mrs. Naegle was a staunch Latter-Day Saint, and was president presi-dent of the Relief Society for many years. She had many friends who with relatives mourn her passing. |
