Show DEATH ENDS SUFFERING OF HR10TTAM Passed Away Monday Afternoon After-noon at Home in Provo After Af-ter Illness of Two Months; Funeral Services Today Heber Jarvis Cottam, 46, a former for-mer resident of St. George, died Monday afternoon at 4:40 at his home at Provo after a two-months' two-months' illness. During the last Christmas holidays he was slightly slight-ly injured on the head in an automobile au-tomobile accident and when he was here a few months ago he contracted flu from which he never recovered. An abscess developed de-veloped on his brain, which before be-fore his death paused paralysis and total blindness. Mr. Cottam was born May 2 6, 1S86, in St. George, a son of the late Thomas P. and Emma-line Emma-line Jarvis Cottam. He was married mar-ried to Miss Edith Brooks in the St. George temple, on September Septem-ber 24, 1909, and in 1912, after the birth of his, second son, was called to fill 'an L. D. S. mission mis-sion in Germany. On account of ill health he was permitted to return to the United States and finished his mission in Wisconsin returning to his home in 1914. He left ,St. George for Prove i nine years ago, and entered the; Brigham Young university, but t later took up the business of plasterer, which had been his father's fa-ther's trade before him. His home in Provo is said to be one of the finest examples of the plasterer's plas-terer's art in that city. During the time he lived here he was a member of the band, playing a bass horn, and after entering the university at Provo was a member of the school band. He was alw-ays highly respected re-spected in this city, and has hosts of friends wherever he has been. He was dependable and honest, and all men have said of him that his word was as good as his bond. Surviving are his widow, two sons, Howard R. and Earl B., and a daughter, Venice. His eldest eld-est son was an honor graduate of B. Y. U. this year. Other survivors sur-vivors are his mother, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Emma McArthour, Thomas, and Arthur, St. George; Mrs. j Annie C. Bleak, Las Vegas; Mo-!
