Show David Cannon Honored On His 81st Birthday An informal family gathering on Wednesday evening honored David H. Cannon at his home, the occasion oc-casion being his eighty-first birthday birth-day anniversary. Born in Salt Lake City, Oct. 15, 1860, he was a son of David H., and Wilhel-mina Wilhel-mina Mousley Cannon and was only 15 months old when the family came to Dixie, where he has since resided. He has been an active church worker, and served for many years as custodian custod-ian of the St. George Temple. His life is filled with pioneering incidents inci-dents and experiences, many of which were included in the historical his-torical sketch printed in the local paper in 1936. His wife, Camilla Mason Cannon Can-non died recently and his daughter daugh-ter Mrs. Ben Cameron of Pan-guitch Pan-guitch is making her home with him at the present time. In poor health, Mr. Cannon is still happy to visit with his many friends and recount the incidents of pioneer history. Many relatives and friends called Wednesday to wish him extended happiness. |
