Show BUSINESSWOMEN HOLD INITIATION, BIRTHDAY PARTY Nineteen women were formally initiated into the St. George Business and Professional Women's Wom-en's club on Wednesday evening, October 7. The intiation ceremony cere-mony was held at 7 o'clock in the Science building. This was followed by the forming of the endless circle of friendship and the singing of the club song. Members then adjourned to the Standard Cafe where a banquet in honor of the second birthday of the club was served to sixty members and guests. The program pro-gram was opened by Mrs. Fam.e Nelson, first vice-president, in the Absence of Pres. Bertha McGregor McGreg-or She introduced the guests or honor for the evening, Mrs. Chris (Continued on page eight) B AND P W CLUB 'Continued from first pate) Greenhagen and Mrs. Ann Pace and turned the meeting over to Mis Clara Woodhouse, toastmaster for the evening. The following program was then presented; Vocal solo, Katharine Clark; reading. ( Irma Sandberg; piano duet, Mary Sullivan and Evelyn Cannon. Mrs. Anne Price was given the honor of lighting the two candles indicating the second birthday of the club. She was followed by Miss Linda Larson who lit candles in honor of each charter member. The club program committee was in charge with Miss LaVera McArthur as chairman. She was assisted by Miss Clara Wood-house, Wood-house, Miss Linna Snow and Mrs. Famie Nelson. |
