Show Born 'A daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Fawcett, Sunday, March 5. Mr. and Mr?. Jack McAllister of Kanab are visiting here with relatives and friends for two weeks. Mrs. Edward Quinn and baby left Thursday for Salt Lake City where they will visit for ten days or more with Mrs. Quinn's mother. Mrs. Theo Smith of Boulder, Utah, arrived here last week for an indefinite visit with her mother, Mrs. Lavina Allen and other relatives. Twenty friends of Mrs. Walter F. Smith gave her a birthday surprise party at her home on Friday evening. Rook was played play-ed followed by refreshments. Mrs. H. E. Peterson and small daughter of Richfield, Mrs. Sherman Sher-man Lamb and daughter of Cedar Ce-dar City came down Sunday for a visit of several days with their sister, Miss LaPrele Pace. The marriage of Miss Afton Bryner and Harold Otto of Chicago, Chi-cago, was solemnized Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Woodruff Cannon, with only on-ly the immediate relatives being present. Before coming here Miss Bryner had been employed in Grand Junction, Colo. The cuu-ple cuu-ple will leave soon on a trip to Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. and Mtrs. La.fayette Stah-eli Stah-eli of Hurricane came down on Tuesday to sipend a week here 'on business and visiting relatives. rela-tives. . ' i 0?son Hammond left Wednesday Wednes-day for New Harmony after spending two weeks here visiting visit-ing his family. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Taylor and family came down Sunday from Central. Mrs. Taylor underwent und-erwent a minor operation at the local hospital the same day and will remain here until the latter part of this week, Mrs. Arthur K. Hafen returned return-ed Tuesday from Lynndyl, Utah, where she was called to attend the funeral of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Albert S. Wood, who died on March 3 in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Hafen also visited with relatives rel-atives in Leamington. |
