Muss Golda Harris entertained several sever-al friends at a dinner party Saturday evening. Angus M. Woodbury left last Friday Fri-day for Salt Lake City to attend the U. of U. John Sullivan of Cedar City was a business visitor here the latter part of last week. A. Brown returned Monday to the "Arizona strip" after spending a few days here. Mrs. May Harris returned Monday from Salt Lake City, where she spent a few days. . William Miller returned Monday from Salt Lake City, where he had been on business. Grant Empey and Reed Bleak came in Sunday from Bingham, where they spent the summer. George W. Hail returned last Friday from northern points where he spent a week on business. Ephriam Foremaster and son Joseph spent the fore part of the week Short Creek, Arizona. "' George W. Hail and Dean A.' Clark were visiting at Little Tank, Arizona, Monday and Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Petty and Dr. Frank Petty of Cedar City spent last week end here visiting. Miss Thelma McGee returned last Friday from Draper, where she spent a few weeks with relatives. Edward Johnson came in . Sunday from Mt. Trumbull, Ariz., to spend a few days here on business. M. W. Andrus returned Sept. 21, from Los Angeles, California, where he spent a few days on business. Mrs. Irene Kedrick left Saturday for her home at Los Angeles, Cal., after spending a week here visiting. J. E. Welch, who has been here for some time on oil business, left Tuesday Tues-day for San Diego, California. Mrs. Julia Keate entertained a number num-ber of friends at a party Wednesday night. A dandy time is reported. Mrs. W. A. Long and son Blaine of Salt Lake City spent the week end here visiting relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Ashworth arrived ar-rived Sunday from Beaver to visit Mrs. Ashworth's mother, Mrs. Linda Riding. The St. George Ice Co. has the thanks of the News force for two quarts of delicious, ice cream. Thanks again. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Milne and baby returned Saturday from Los Angeles, Calif., where they spent a few weeks visiting. John Kinney was visiting here the fore part of the week en route from Modena to his home at Mt. Trumbull. Arizona. Mrs. Mary Jones and daughter, Miss Kate Thomas, returned last Friday from Idaho, where they spent the past two years. Miss Mona Woodbury returned Sunday Sun-day from Los Angeles, Cal., where she spent her vacation from the Southern Utah Telephone company office. Mrs. J. D. Neilson and daughter Berenice of New Harmony spent th1"-week th1"-week end here. Miss Berenice intends staying here to attend th3 Dixie college. col-lege. The three ward Mutuals gave their Annual Membership dance last Friday evening in the gymnasium. The South ward led for young ladies and the West ward for young men. Mrs. William Abbott and Mrs. Oscar Abbott and baby, who spent some time here, returned to their home at Mosquito. Mos-quito. Nov.. Tuesday. Bishop Abbot; of the same place, who spent a few rays here took them down. David Hirschi and Amos Workman, of the Hurricane Town Board were here Monday investigating the sewer being put in here, as a similar improvement im-provement is bring considered for that growing and enterprising town. |
