Josh Billings once said it is not a disgrace to make a mistake, but the disgrace comes in making the same mistake twice. Someone has said that failure is a sure road to success, that failures we make, if we profit by them, are steps leading to success. Andrew Carnegie won the distinction of being a very successful man. How many times do you suppose he failed before he attained success? The surgeon practices a long time before he becomes a success. The singer practices for many years. He does not hold what he is doing a failure. Yet over and over he makes failures, but he calls those failures preparation.
